11 Second Club May

hello, ello, ello! I entered the 11 sec club this month. The audio was pretty sweet, and since I was at good stopping point on some personal animation, I figured it was a good a time as ever to enter for the first time. I'm happy with the result, but there's still a bit to be done before I add it to my demo reel. Anyways, I had a lot of fun with this one, check it!

UPDATED REEL

Just added a new shot at the end, and moved a couple things around. My workflow seems to be getting faster, which, is great but i need to push my abilities to get more believable performance. I'm gonna submit my reel to animatedbuzz.com where I can get a critique from one of the professional animators on the site.

Phew!

I'm so glad they halted production on the Akira movie. It would have been a disaster!

Beanstalk(part 1) update...

I adjusted a few things after getting some feedback. Also added in a simple tree and some bushes to add appeal to the overall shot. Check it!

I've been hard at work recently on a body mechanics shot. This is part one, of a two part animation I plan on completing based on the Jack and the Beanstalk storyline. So far it's been a good opportunity to work on my arcs, timing, and weight to get realistic, yet cartoony action. I'm only on the first polish pass right now, but I think its working well. Watch this page for updates. Also, after this one want to work on a couple smaller tests (via advice from Kenny Roy's website). It'll give me a chance to really optimize my workflow, and get solid performances in just 2-4 seconds. So part 2 may have to wait...
