PandaPanther!!!

I'm excited to announce I will be starting a Character Animation Internship with PandaPanther in NYC! They've worked on some really cool commercial projects, and most notably, cinematics for the Skylanders video games. I feel really lucky and I can't wait to work on some cool stuff! I will keep you guys updated as much as I can on my journey throughout the internship.

On a side note I've been taking the Rent-a-Mentor workshop at CG Spectrum!  My instructor is Mark Pullyblank, previously a Senior Previz Artist at Weta.  So far its been a really great experience.  I wanted to focus on my body mechanics and together we came up with a solid shot idea.  Its great having someone to go over a shot with you right from the conception phase.  Its helps get the best ideas out right away, and eliminates a lot of guess work.  Mark is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to animation and the industry in general.  Every week I take away something new and walk away with a ton of notes.  I really recommend it to animators of any level.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but I will post more...Promise!

A bit of an update...

Wow, its almost a year since I last posted!! Well I can say for sure that I've been hard at work trying to improve as an animator. I had the chance to take the Spungella online workshop with Jean-Denis Haas, Senior animator at ILM! It was a truly eye opening experience and I recommend it to anyone pursuing a career in animation.

Anyways, here's my newest entry for the 11 second club. This is actually my first time using predominately FK arms on a rig. I've always been more of a fan of IK, but I decided to switch things up on this one. It was a fun challenge and I will certainly use FK in the future where I can. Thanks to everyone who gave me crits on the 11 second club forums, they were really helpful! Still would like to do some more polish, just on some of the super small details. Check it!
