Beanstalk(part 1) update...
I adjusted a few things after getting some feedback. Also added in a simple tree and some bushes to add appeal to the overall shot. Check it!

Beanstalk(part 1)
Beanstalk WIP (polish pass1) from CJ Burbage on Vimeo.
I've been hard at work recently on a body mechanics shot. This is part one, of a two part animation I plan on completing based on the Jack and the Beanstalk storyline. So far it's been a good opportunity to work on my arcs, timing, and weight to get realistic, yet cartoony action. I'm only on the first polish pass right now, but I think its working well. Watch this page for updates. Also, after this one want to work on a couple smaller tests (via advice from Kenny Roy's website). It'll give me a chance to really optimize my workflow, and get solid performances in just 2-4 seconds. So part 2 may have to wait...Thursday, March 15, 2012
BECAUSE WE WERE ARTISTS
Here's a dialogue animation i'm working on that's close to completion. This is only the second shot I've ever done like this, but its a huge step form my last attempt. I really tried to get this one as close as possible to the my reference and thumbnails I drew out . I still think I can push this a bit further, which I will be doing to try and get it to that "next level". As always, crits are welcome!

IT HAS BEGUN!
I really wanted to start this off with a bang, but after starting and deleting my first few sentences about ten times I just decided to go with it.
My name is CJ Burbage and I am an aspiring animator. This has been a dream of mine since I can remember, and now I'm fully focused on making it a reality. Its been a long road so far, so I hope to use this blog to visualize my progress, and the path in front of me. I hope to learn a ton, and maybe even drop some knowledge on other aspiring artists out there. Here's to new beginnings!
